My Design Philosophies

“The life of a designer is a life of fight. Fight against the ugliness. Just like a doctor fights against disease. For us, the visual disease is what we have around, and what we try to do is cure it somehow with design” – Massimo Vignelli in the film Helvetica

"The public is more familiar with bad design than good design. It is, in effect, conditioned to prefer bad design, because that is what it lives with. The new becomes threatening, the old reassuring."
- Paul Rand, graphic designer

Integrated Brand Designer & Digital Surrealist.
My unique design process cultivates an atmosphere that encourages imaginative thinking and creative exploration.

Design Specialization

I specialize in Visual Identity, Branding, and Digital Surrealism Art. I work with clients around the Caribbean and abroad. Currently, I’m located in Jamaica. I typically work solo, but I also have a core network of talented people to partner with if projects call for it. Over the years, I’ve narrowed in on these two kinds of work I enjoy but not limited to.

CORE VALUES

HUMILITY & CONFIDENCE

Sometimes we confuse humility with being timid and never speaking your mind.

Humility is....putting others first, not considering yourself more important than those you are helping and working with. Humility is having the confidence to share your expertise and wisdom with others without being arrogant or ignoring what others have to say.

FAITH

Sometimes you have to remind yourself to have faith; To have faith in the client, faith in yourself, faith in the PROCESS, and faith that creativity will happen when you least expect it to. I have faith in my time-tested ability to get the job done and faithfully put a smile on the client's face.

EXCELLENCE

Consistent, Thorough, Quality—Some might call me perfectionists but I call it "excellence and attention to detail." Perfectionists really struggle to get work accomplished and avoid sharing their work because it’s never good enough. I love showing off my work and never let my desire for excellence get in the way of accomplishing the work.

Due to my desire for excellence, I avoid taking on jobs and clients who are always looking for a cheap deal, and asking for super rushed jobs "thrown together."

If you are someone who appreciates quality and putting a bit of thought into your project, business, and life, you'll appreciate the time and attention I put into all my projects.
